Samaritan

Description

A soldier is critically wounded and left for dead by his own, during a battle with a hated alien race. Two of his army see him, but do nothing to help. Finally, as he is about to die he is rescued by one of the aliens who he so despises.

Biblical Connection

We are basing our film on the parable of The Good Samaritan found in Luke 10: 25 - 37. We really wanted to play on the cultural references that Jesus' audience would have picked up on at the time. Jews and Samaritans had a deep hatred of one another - it would have been very surprising to them that it was a Samaritan, not a Jew who saved the main character.
