It all happened suddenly, on a dark grey morning. Jack open his eyes and discovers the world litterally shifted from 90 degres.
This makes no sense, and yet it did happened. Jack is still alive, lying on what used to be a wall covered of framings and posters. Why is he even alive, shouldn't it be the end of world?
There is no time to think, he has to rescue Tina, a girl he met the night before in a bar, before it all happened. Tina is lying on a window about to break, and when it does, she will fall towards the next building, on the other side of the street.
Tina and jack barely know each other, yet they will have to stick together if they want to survive this new world, where each street is now an endless precipice, where your own flat can become a trap.
I want to set up the story mainly in Jack's flat and explore the relationship between him and the girl Tina. I think it is more interesting to evoke rather than to show, I want the spectator to imagine the world outside to let his imagination grow.
By going through the book of revelation, one part of it struck me as unusual and very free of interpretation 8:12 The fourth angel sounded his trumpet, and a third of the sun was struck, a third of the moon, and a third of the stars, so that a third of them turned dark. A third of the day was without light, and also a third of the night. What could it mean if the sun and stars lose their intensity? I chose to interpret this event in term of gravitation. If the sun, the stars and the moon lose their power then it could mean the rules of gravitation on earth would be affected in a drastic sudden manner. This would result an unusual kind of apocalypse, something too odd to be true, yet absolutely catastrophic. You could survive such an event, but for how long? If it did mean anything, there isn't much you could do about it, apart from adapting yourself to it, hoping that one day, things would go back to normal. It would redefine entirely the survivors personnality. In this case, jack and tina will survive, adapt but more importantly redifine themselves, maybe as couple.
