Stump

Winner of The Pitch 2022, Stump is a folk tale set in the wilds of Finland, where disregard for the planet has mysteriously turned those responsible for crimes against the environment feral. The film was shot in Finland in 2022 with Reel Issues Films producer Luke Walton and Jackie Sheppard of Footprint Films, and production services provided by Blockbusters Gang.

What is Stump about?

In a world where disregard for the planet has mysteriously sent those responsible feral, forests are now home to former CEO’s living like animals. Some environmental activists seek to capture and sell these ‘beasts’ for cash, but the heroine is set on a different course – can she find a way back for one of the most powerful feral creatures? Her father.

What is it based on?

Stump is based on the story of King Nebuchadnezzar who is humbled by God by being driven away from society and into the wild. “King Nebuchadnezzar, you will be forced to go away from people. You will live among the wild animals. You will eat grass like cattle, and you will become wet with dew. Seven seasons will pass, and then you will learn this lesson. You will learn God Most High rules over human kingdoms and gives them to whoever he wants.” ‭‭Daniel‬ ‭4‬:‭25‬

Where can I watch it?
